Italy 2017: Day 4

Italy 2017: Day 4

Hello there! This morning we woke up in the stunning mountains. It was eating and cloudy yesterday, so we couldn't see much. Jungfrau was off the table, there's a big ski competition going on and there's no way we'll be able to see anything.   We've foregone the mountain for the journey to Croatia. So, we've taken a train from Interlaken to Spiez and from Spiez to Brig. I'm writing this along the way today. So, perhaps I can get to those pictures today, no promises though.

For now, we ride and I'll return later.

We've taken a train from Brig to Domodossola, Italy. We're going to stop in Domodossola and have lunch while waiting for the next train onto Milan. From there, we're headed into Verona. Juliet's wall, here we come!

Domodossola was fantastic! The view of the mountains was incredible. Snow and trees and mountain after mountain, stunning! I hope the pictures come out ok. This is definitely one of those small towns that you wouldn't think to come to, but it's worth the trip. Truly beautiful. We had sandwiches for lunch and came back to the train bound for Milan.

In Milan, we hopped another train to Verona. While good to my mother was crap to me. We're wandered looking for a hotel, to no avail. We ended up booking on hotels.com, go figure.

Sitting down to dinner, mom ordered lasagna and I ordered a pizza. Had I realized at the time that the description of the pizza was ABOVE the name of the pizza, I would not have ordered what I did. My pizza had called and artichoke and I swear I tested a suspiciously fishy taste. Turns out they served tuna pizza and I do believe I ended up with some remnants of tuna on my meal. Blegh.

After dinner, we roamed a bit and caught a taxi to our recently booked hotel. This is a nice place with a tub and a bidet and everything. I've still never used a bidet, mostly because I don't understand it. The process makes no sense to me!

We met some nice young American soldiers at the hotel bar and had a lovely evening. Tomorrow, we had to Zadar. Come Hell or high water, we will see the Sea Organ. Hopefully tomorrow.

Thank you for reading and for being interested in our journey. And pictures... Yeah, when I get home.

Thanks, y'all!

P.s. My apologies. Turns out I took zero pictures in Verona. It was very crowded and I was uncomfortable.
