T-minus 2 days to Italy 2017

The day after tomorrow is the big day!  Aww yeah baby!  You know what that means.  Today is the day to pack it all up (except the dailies, that is).  I know it's hard to hold out until now, but believe me, it's worth it.  There's always something you forget or don't think of until after and you end up getting everything in the bag already.

This also means that I will be getting intimate with my newly purchased bag from ibagbar, you can check out the early reviews here.  So, onto the packing.  I stopped by Target on my way home to grab some travel bottles for my cosmetics.  Wow, can't believe I'm saying this.  I've never tried to travel with beauty products before, so this is new for me too.  I had to get bottles and tubs for my various chemicals that will be coming with me.  I will be taking my face scrub, my spray in conditioner, my straightening serum, among other things...

The packing segment of this evening was interesting.  I managed to get everything rolled up as it was supposed to be, with room left over, I might add.  If you roll your clothes correctly, you will be able to fit way more than you think.  The whole time I was packing, all I could think was "holy crap, what did I forget?"  But, I'm here to tell you the only really important things are your passport, money source (be it cash and/or credit cards), any prescriptions you might need, and at least one set of clothes to fly in.  You can make anything work past that.  So, all in all, I'll be fine.

The point off packing tonight is so that you can identify if you need a second bag or if there's anything else you need.  For me, tonight, I realized that i need a replacement filter for my Brita Bottle.  I have been completely forgetting to buy the replacements.  I've just put it in my phone as a reminder to buy one tomorrow after work on my way home.  Then, I will be off to get a manicure and possibly a pedicure, because the night before is for relaxing and last minute stuff.  The Brita filter is my only last minute thing.

Depending on the time your flight departs, the night before might be the right time for you to print out your boarding passes and such.  Since I am on a split ticket, I will need to make certain I do this either tomorrow or Wednesday.  Considering I'm on an evening flight, Wednesday is enough time for me.  As long as I get them all before I hit the airport.

You should have finalized your plans for any children, family, or pets that you might have had to deal with.  I have a friend of mine watching my dog for me while I am away and this friend will also be taking me to the airport, so it's sort of a two birds situation.

Enough dragging this out.  Moral of the story, you should be excited and packing.  Make a list for anything you may have forgotten and be sure to WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN that you want to remember to do tomorrow or the next day.  Drink in the anticipation and enjoy the time before the trip.  If you wish your time away for your trip to get here, it will only make the trip go by faster.  I appreciate you taking the time out to read this, I hope you enjoyed it.

Thanks, y'all!
