T-minus 1 week to Italy 2017

1 week to go! Holy crap!  Next week!  I am beginning to freak out a little bit, as everyone does when a trip like this is so close.  Today, I made a bit of an impulse buy.  Well, not really because I've wanted a new camera for some time and finally pulled the trigger.  I bought a Nikon Coolpix B500 from Best Buy.  So far, I'm really liking it and the zoom is incredible.  I can't wait to get it warmed up on the trip and post all of the pictures.  In case you're not already, follow my Instagram for all of my trip pics.  I'll be posting on Twitter and Facebook as well.  

Shameless plugs aside.  I began laying out clothes and determining outfits for the trip.  The preliminary shot is here:

Complimentary colors and neutral tones with very few pops of color here or there.

There's also a dress involved that I needed for a fancy dinner my Mom and I are going to be partaking in next Friday.  That's right, NEXT Friday.  We will be going to Le Grand Colbert in Paris, France.  I went with the classic little black dress that has a nice lace top and a flattering A-line cut.  I will be wearing flats with this dress because they are easier to pack and the flats will be my second pair of shoes.  I suggest limiting your pairs of shoes to 2 typically.  Check this out for reference.

The moral of the story is: I'm excited and if you are only a week away from your trip, you should be too!  Next week, I will be writing Every day for the proceeding 11 days about what we do and where we go.  I will be taking pictures all over the place and trying to catch new video clips from different places that I will hopefully put together into an overview type video of the trip.  For now, to keep it brief, I'm going to check into the pictures and video I took on my new camera and see what they look and sound like.  This camera records audio in stereo, so I'm really excited to hear the audio quality.
