May 13 Shhh Mouse Review

The Shhh mouse is a wireless mouse that connects via USB A to your computer. I ordered this mouse specifically for writing when I am on the road. The idea of the quiet mouse was to not disturb fellow passengers when working on my computer in transit. I realize now that my keyboard is WAY louder than this mouse. In fact, I didn’t notice just how loud this computer was until I clicked on the mouse for a little while.

There really isn’t a good angle to photograph this thing to show how truly beautiful the color is. I ordered the Purple Grape. It is gorgeous! The texture is soft and the clicks are easy to sense despite it not making any noise. There is an adjustable DPI setting in the middle of the mouse just behind the scroll wheel that allows you to adjust the sensitivity on the fly with 3 settings. The scroll wheel gets stuck sometimes, but it isn’t invasive, yet.

Initially, there was a feature on this mouse I did not care for. It does not have a power button. Being that I will use in travel, this did not seem like a good feature, but the moment that I close my laptop, the mouse shuts off. To wake it up, you click either button. Clicking the left button while the laptop is still closed does not wake it up. I like this feature. Once you wake up the laptop, you must click a button to wake the mouse. It takes virtually no time to power on. It takes 2 AAA’s and has a spot in the mouse for the dongle to store. A second or two after the dongle is unplugged, the mouse shuts off.

It is a low profile dongle. I have seen lower, but this one isn’t too bad.
